As Jury Commissioner, Andrea will focus on:
-
Supporting county residents' right to an impartial jury
-
Educating the county of the importance of serving on a jury
-
Developing methods to increase juror response and participation rates
-
Keeping her staff in open communication with intersecting county offices to ensure the highest-quality constituent services
What is the Montgomery County Jury Selection Commission?
Led by one Commissioner from each party, the Montgomery County Jury Selection Commission is responsible for ensuring that citizens have the right to a trial by an impartial jury by providing a qualified pool and carefully selecting jurors for each case. Commissioners’ administrative responsibilities ensure that all federal, state and county policies and procedures are being followed correctly and consistently. Commissioners are vital to the success of the office and to providing outstanding service to County residents.

“Now more than ever, we need dedicated and trustworthy public servants in our county offices to restore people’s trust in our government and its processes. Small everyday interactions with good government is the foundation of restoring civic engagement. We must strive to elect people that will use their platform to not only promote, but safeguard our democratic values.”
